Hello,

I am considering upgrading to this phone and getting mobile speak with it. however I've read numourous reveiws that say this phone isn't that good. So my question is have any you that have this phone run into any problems with it?

I don't have the same carrier or model of the Q that you're talking about. But one thing I do know, with all models of the Q, is that there is a firmware limitation so that Mobile Speak won't talk while you're in a call.

yeah agreed with brooke that's the only real downfall, but i heard that if you get a bluetooth headphone it'll talk on a call but not sure if there's truth to that..just what i heard

Hi. I am getting the Q9C this week, it is on its way in the mail, so I am not sure yet how good it is, but several of my friends have it and say it is good. By the way, does anyone know of a place where you can buy MobileSpeak that will do it on the payment plan, because most vendors of it want $295, and I wanted to see if I could divide it up in to monthly payments until I have paid it off? If not I can just use the 30 day trial version and after that not have the software until later on when I can save enough money to buy it. I just thought I would ask since some people use mobilespeak on their phones here.
Thanks,

Misty

I tried getting it to talk on a call with Bluetooth, and it didn't work.

Misty, I don't know of any of the vendors that will accept payment plans; as far as I know, you have to pay for it up front. AT&T offers it for $89, but I'm guessing, by the model of the phone you're getting, that you don't have AT&T.

Lol Brook!
Well I have Sprint, and was considering an accessible phone, but there don't seem to be a lot of them out there, and the very few such as this one, well I've heard they're ok, but mobile speek is about 2 to 300 dollars, where as with AT&T you get it much cheaper, so I'll probably be switching after my contract is up. Either that or I may switch to T-Mobile since the phone I have, (KNFB Reader Mobile), is used with them.

was wondering, do you all know, if sprint charges you internet charges to work with a built in GPS Receiver on the q9c?

i've had the q for about 2 weeks now and it's been problem after problem. last night i had to go back to AT&T and get a new phone, so I hope it works better, but i have a nagging feeling that it won't, i think mobile speaks totally crashed it. lets hope the new q holds up.

What problems are you having with the Q?

yeah I just got my Q9C on Saturday and installed Mobile Speak on it but now can't get it to talk, although it does make the introduction noise when MobileSpeak turns on after the phone comes on and boots up, and it may say a word or two once in a blue moon. I am guessing it is a memory problem because maybe I don't have enough memory. A friend of mine told me that he thinks it is a problem with the Today screen or something. Anyway, I have the trial version installed but haven't gotten any use out of it so far because it is not talking, but my friend is going to try to see if it will work, and hopefully it will. I know that a few of my friends have it and it works just fine for them on their Q9C's with mobile speak.

It could be that you have tne wrong version on your phone. Each phone has its own specific program

Did you download Mobile Speak for Windows Smartphones? It's easy to accidentally download the wrong version.

Does your phone have Windows Mobile 6.1 installed? If it does, you need to have someone check to see which home screen layout you're using. I remember reading that some of them don't work with Mobile Speak.
